Happy Friday All! 🙂 And nope, I’m not talking about Lolo Jones. I’m actually talking about an app on my iPhone that has been a part of my life for a little over a year. As many of you know, it is quite common in weight loss journeys to hit a plateau since our bodies are so great at adjusting to routines! I hit a plateau at one point and I realized that I had to switch up my workouts.
I did a simple search on my iPhone for fitness apps and wallah, magic- lolo fit appeared. In a nutshell, lolo fit is an app that allows you to customize your own personal workout AND which syncs music from your very own play list to match the speed and intensity of your workout. When I first got lolo fit, there was only the Beatburn Treadmill/Outdoor app. As the app has grown in popularity, lolo fit has expanded to a series of workouts. This includes: yoga, abs and arms workouts, 5K/10k/half marathon/full marathon training workouts and more.
I think that the lolo fit series is great for all because you can modify the intensity to suit your fitness level. I’ve recommended it to a few of my friends who ask what workouts I do. Oh and there is also a real voice that motivates you throughout your workouts and it’s not annoying or overbearing. Though, I will say that she will push you to the max and sometimes you’ll want her to shut-up. Seriously! But that’s what so many people need and I must say the results are worth it. In particular, the Beatburn Treadmill/Outdoor app is a great interval training workout and the program makes it so that your workouts are different everyday. And if you prefer to do your own program, you can just set it to steady state. I probably won’t be doing Lolo that much in the coming weeks because I’m gearing up for the Fitnessista’s Summer Shape Up next week! I know Kyra is too. We’ll definitely document that on here. Have a great weekend everyone!
