Good Morning Folks!
Summer Shape Up
I completed my first day of the Fitnessista’s Summer Shape Up yesterday and I feel great (and sore) already! I’ve been slippin’ on my diet and exercise routine, so SSU is going to help bring some much needed structure in place. Like Kyra said, you can still hop on and join the program with us. Steady State is on the agenda for today so I will probably use trusty LoloFit to help me with my workout. And I MUST work on my arms as well. From what I’ve read, many people have a difficult time toning their arms, especially after losing a significant amount of weight. It’s super annoying, but I’m determined to put more effort into getting definition. I think the biggest culprit is my lack of consistency when it comes to working on my arms. I’ll keep you all posted on my progress and I welcome any advice! Alright, so here are my major goals for this round of SSU:
- Keep up with the program, no excuses (I was fine in winter but my life has changed since then)
- Eat CLEAN (little to no processed food) and eat like a “PRO” (protein and produce) as the Fitnessista always says
- Get my body fat percentage down
- Drink a ton of water EVERYDAY (at least 2.5 to 3 liters)
- No alcohol eeeek (I survived 40 days during Lent…so we’ll see if I can have a repeat)
Waist Trimmer Belt, Yay or Nay?
Alright, so my lovely middle sissy got me a waist trimmer belt (pictured above) this past Christmas because she knew I wanted one. This was not before she asked if I was gonna look like one of those gym rat weirdos for wearing one. Anywho, I have seen a difference in my waist size since using the belt. However, I can’t tell if it has been my diet/exercise routine or the belt itself. I will say that the belt definitely causes you to sweat excessively in the belly and back region! And sweat is good so I mean, it can’t hurt to wear it right? I will be wearing the belt every single time I work out over the next month; I haven’t been that consistent in the past. I’m hoping to see a much healthier and happier waist in the near future.
Have a great day!
