I’m a smoothie newbie, but I’m lucky to have found a recipe I really enjoy. I’ve been putting my recently purchased Oster on the go smoothie blender to good use because I’ve been drinking this smoothie every day for the past week. It’s been great for upping my protein intake for the day and to curb sweet tooth cravings! Plus, it’s the closest I can get to Costco’s Berry Smoothie which I LOVE, but which has a bunch of sugar in it. Thanks to The Iron You for the recipe!
½ cup frozen strawberries
¼ cup mixed frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries and blackberries)
¼ cup organic pomegranate juice
¼ cup organic grape juice
1 scoop of protein powder (I use vegan/raw protein powder)
crushed ice to taste
handful sliced almonds for topping
Place all ingredients in blender. Pulse until smooth. Serve in a glass, topped with a handful of sliced almonds.
