“Healthified” Buffalo Chicken “Wings”

I made this recipe the other day since I had left over chicken breast strips in our fridge and I wanted to add more protein in my meals for the day. This is probably the quickest recipe to make that I’ve ever posted and that’s awesome because I don’t know about you but time is of the essence these days. I’m not the biggest fan of chicken breast, they always taste dry to me. But, these days I’ve been lucking out on ways to manipulate them into tasty good eats. If you’re craving some chicken wings but you want to opt for a guilt free version, give these a try!

What You Need:

  • Chicken breast (I used Trader Joe’s organic chicken breast tenders):  90595-Organic-Chicken-Tenders
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch ( I used the Argo brand pictured below):

  • Coconut Oil
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Frank’s Hot Sauce (I used the Buffalo flavor seen here):

What To Do:

Cut the chicken tenders into mini slanted strips and place into a bowl. Season these mini strips with salt and pepper and make sure you mix the batch well so that the salt and pepper are spread evenly (I just used my hand). Next, sprinkle in the tablespoon of cornstarch and coat evenly.

Whip out a large skillet and coat the skillet with coconut oil. Fry the strips in the coconut oil until completely cooked. Toss the strips in enough Frank’s RedHot Wings Buffalo sauce to coat the batch and enjoy!
