Are you glad that it’s Friday? I am!
This is my favorite time of year, despite the frigid temperatures. I’ve been enjoying the season and all the festive feelings that come along with it. And I’ll be going to one of my favorite places in a week—sunny California! It’s been over a year since I’ve gone home to visit my family in the Bay Area and I cannot wait to see everyone on Christmas. Speaking of which, maybe some of my current favorites will give you some ideas if you’re in need of some last minute Christmas gifts. Take a look at what I’ve been loving as of late.
TJ Maxx ONLINEIf you know me, you’ll know that I’m not much of a shopper. But when I do shop, I like to find deals–the clearance rack is my friend. I grew up going to Ross, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, and the like, but these retailers never sold online. The fact that TJ Maxx now sells items online is a big win for me. Side note, yes, I know I’m late on this news (my friend told me they’ve been selling online for over a year) but I’m still hype about it! First, I don’t have to go into the store which is a huge plus. Second, THE PRICEPOINT IS THE SAME ONLINE. Let’s just say I bought several items that were delivered a couple weeks ago, including super cute workouts fits! Ladies, if you want some cute, comfy and affordable workout gear, checkout their stuff here.
DIY Accent Wall
Once in a while, I get crafty with my husby (for example, here) and I decide to switch some decor up. We love our condo but we were longing for some more color in our living room area. We decided to do an accent wall which would serve as inspiration for the rest of our living room decor. I took a trip with one of my besties to a local paint store and I selected a paint color– Tropical Orange (Benjamin Moore brand) then we got the necessary tools (tarp, painter’s tape, a good roller etc.)
My husband taped the wall and I did the painting until my arm got tired and he helped too.
Modern Area Rug
I’m absolutely in love with our new area rug that we got from Amazon*:
We had a different area rug from Homegoods but it was 5×7 and too small for our space.Plus, it is the perfect complement to our accent wall.
Recently, Kyra and I were fortunate to receive a generous sampling of major goodies from Angelic Bakehouse! Here are the products we got to try which can be seen on the Angelic Bakehouse website:
This company is great because they only use clean ingredients in their sprouted grain products and there are only real sprouted grains in their dough instead of drying and grinding grains into flour. The end result? Super tasty and healthy which a total win-win. I loved the whole line, especially their bread crisps and Flatzza pizza crust! Take a look at some of our creations:
I was on my own for dinner tonight but still cooked from @serenagwolf #dudediet cookbook. Big pineapple tortilla pizza on an @angelicbakehouse flatzza crust crushed my "it's Friday night I must have pizza cravings" for under 400 calories. Can't wait to try more recipes from this cookbook! -Kyra #tiu #tiuteam #tiuannarbor #dudedietbook
You can find Angelic Bakehouse at nationwide retailers like Whole Foods Market, Costco and Super Target and certain local/regional specialty stores. Or you can order some goodies on their website.
